MINERAL POINT, WI—Cummins Engineered Solutions has unveiled its expanded assembly plant here. The company added 20,000 square feet of production space.

ANDERSON, SC—Electrolux is investing $30 million in its assembly plant here, which produces top-mount refrigerators as well as under-the-counter models. This investment is in addition to a prior $30 million investment the company made recently in the facility, which added an R&D center and other improvements.

WASHINGTON—The North American Free Trade Agreement has proven to be a resounding success for U.S. manufacturing, according to a new report from the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation.

WASHINGTON—U.S. sales of machine tools totaled $492.78 million in March, according to AMT—The Association for Manufacturing Technology. That’s an increase of 38.5 percent from February and 2.9 percent compared with March 2013. For the year, machine tool sales are up 0.9 percent compared with 2013.

ARDEN, NC—BorgWarner Turbo Systems is investing more than $32 million to expand its assembly plant here, with plans to add 63 jobs over the next three years.
