SPRING HILL, TN—GM is planning to invest $185 million to produce small gas engines at its assembly plant here. The new engine will be used in 27 models across five of brands by 2017.
LANSING, MI—General Motors Co.’s Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant will halt production for three weeks starting Aug. 18 due to lower than anticipated market demand for the luxury cars built there. Production is set to resume Sept. 8.
