Electric Vehicles (EVs) are growing, both in terms of the numbers of models available and sales volumes. EVs, as well as hybrid-electric vehicles, use lithium-ion batteries as their power source. Lithium-ion batteries are cooled via a thermal management system. Yet industry standards for measuring leak rates for both glycol-based and refrigerant-based cooling systems for electric vehicle (EV) lithium-ion batteries currently do not exist.
