LOUISVILLE, KY—Ford Motor Co. is investing $700 million and add 500 additional hourly manufacturing jobs at its assembly plant here to support production of a new F-Series Super Duty pickup truck.
TOLEDO, OH—General Motors is investing $760 million in its propulsion manufacturing operations here to prepare the facility for producing drive units that will be used in future Ultium-based battery electric trucks. BOISE, ID—Micron Technology Inc. plans to invest approximately $15 billion through the end of the decade to construct a new factory here to make memory chips. This will be the first new memory manufacturing fab built in the U.S. in 20 years, ensuring a domestic supply of memory chips required for automobiles, data centers and other applications.
