SHANNON, MS—German auto parts maker Grammer AG will move its American headquarters from Wisconsin to a new assembly plant here, creating up to 650 jobs. The company makes automotive interiors and commercial vehicle seats.
MANTACHIE, MS—Automotive supplier Toyota Boshoku is adding 180 jobs at its assembly plant here. The company is investing $21 million at the plant, which makes seat components and door panels for the Toyota Corolla.
TUNICA, MS—Feuer Powertrain GmbH has begun constructing a $140 million assembly plant here, with plans to create 300 new jobs. The factory will begin producing automotive crankshafts in late 2014.
CLARKSDALE, MS—A manufacturer of parts for the HVAC industry and energy efficient lighting products, AirGuide, has opened a new $720,000 assembly plant here, employing 40 full-time workers.
CANTON, MS—Nissan will build a 1 million-square-foot campus for its suppliers just north of the its assembly plant here. The facility could create 800 to 1,000 jobs.
