LEBANON, OH—Siemens has opened its first U.S. assembly plant here to manufacture industrial personal computers. By moving production of the computers to Ohio, delivery times to U.S. customers will be cut by 40 percent, Siemens officials said.
FINDLAY, OH—Whirlpool Corp. has begun construction on a $40 million expansion project at its dishwasher assembly plant here. The project will add 86,400 square feet to the facility and create approximately 50 new jobs. DAYTON, OH—Vistek Medical, a contract manufacturer of medical implants and components, will relocate its manufacturing operation to a larger facility here. The expansion will include new five-axis milling machines, electrical discharge machining centers, and expanded finishing and packaging capabilities.
