GM's Driver Assistance Technology Wins "Best Tech Award"

MotorTrend has named General Motors’ Super Cruise system as the top driver assistance technology in its inaugural “Best Tech Awards.” Super Cruise, launched in 2017 as the world’s first hands-free Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) for compatible roads, allows drivers to operate their vehicles without hands on the wheel under specific conditions. By the end of 2025, the system will be available on select GM models covering approximately 750,000 miles of roads across the U.S. and Canada.
Since its debut, Super Cruise has been integrated into over 20 GM models, with customers logging hundreds of millions of hands-free driving miles. In November 2024, GM demonstrated the technology by leading a caravan of 20 Super Cruise-equipped vehicles across the Bay Bridge, connecting San Francisco and Oakland.
