Fairfax, KS—General Motors (GM) recently announced plans to lay off 1,695 workers at its Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas, as outlined in a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice in mid-September.
ARLINGTON, TX—General Motors’ assembly plant here celebrated its 70th anniversary last week and assembled its 13 millionth vehicle. The milestone vehicle is a 2024 Cadillac Escalade-V powered by a 682-horsepower supercharged V8 engine.
Magna currently has five factories worldwide that produce battery structures for startup and legacy OEMs, with several other facilities in the pipeline.
