Carson, CA, October 22, 2018 - At the ASSEMBLY Show, Epson Robots will be showcasing its newly launched Synthis™ T6 All-in-One SCARA robot and Force Guide, as well as a selection of other robots for factory automation. In addition, the company will lead two discussions for users new to factory automation.
The Synthis T6 All-in-One SCARA robot offers the perfect way to automate factories without wasting time or money on expensive, complex, slide-based solutions. It comes with a built-in controller, a new technology feature that reduces space requirements and simplifies setup and the powerful Epson RC+® development environment that is included with all Epson Robots. This innovative alternative installs in minutes and virtually eliminates any space-constraint issues.
The T6 will be shown with Vision Guide demonstrating inspection as well as pick and place applications using vision guidance. It is are ideal for simple applications such as pick and place, assembly, parts handling and dispensing applications in industries ranging from automotive and medical development, to lab automation, consumer electronics, electronic components and industrial. The Synthis T3 All-in-One SCARA robot, the first in the T-series, was awarded the Vision Systems Design 2018 Innovators Award.
The C4 6-Axis Robot workcell will show battery pack testing using Epson’s new Force Guide integrated solution, which provides fast, tactile feedback to guide robots for high-precision parts placement. Powered by proprietary Epson Quartz Technology and driven by real-time servo system integration, Force Guide enables Epson robots to detect six axes of force with precision down to 0.1 N. Easy to configure and set up, Force Guide features a point-and-click interface with pre-configured solutions and built-in objects, reducing the development time for precision repeatability applications.
The Flexion™ N2 6-Axis space-saving robot features the world’s first compact folding arm design that meets the increasingly high demands for efficient movement and precise placement required in advanced manufacturing. It’s ideal for use in production and quality assurance in the automotive, electronics, medical and laboratory equipment industries, which require solutions that need smaller robots and workcells. The Flexion N2, the first robot to feature the unique folding arm design, was awarded the Edison Award for Innovation in 2018 and UBM’s Golden Mousetrap award in 2017.
