The groundbreaking aluminum-bodied F-150 pickup truck is assembled at the Dearborn Truck Plant, the crown jewel of Ford Motor Co.’s historic Rouge Center.
DEARBORN, MI—Since May 2013, more than 8,000 skilled trades and production workers at Ford’s Dearborn Truck Plant and Kansas City Assembly Plant have undergone an intensive training program to support production of the new F-150 pickup.
DEARBORN, MI—Ford will add 1,550 new jobs at four of its U.S. manufacturing plants to accelerate the production of F-150. Approximately 900 jobs will be added at the company’s Kansas City assembly plant, 150 jobs will be added to its axle factory in Sterling, MI, and 500 will be added at the stamping and assembly plants in Dearborn, MI.
