MESA, AZ—A rebar manufacturing plant here was evacuated last week after several artillery shells were found in a shipment of scrap steel. A fire department spokesman said the load might contain more than 100 rounds.
LOWER MACUNGIE TOWNSHIP, PA—Mack Trucks Inc. has agreed to pay a $54,800 fine and properly manage hazardous waste at its assembly plant here in a settlement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
