FORT MILL, SC—Power tool manufacturer Stanley Black & Decker will invest $31 million to build a new assembly plant here. Expected to employ 500 people, the factory will assemble Dewalt cordless tools.
SUMTER, SC—Apex Tool Group, a manufacturer of power and hand tools, is expanding the workforce at its assembly plant here by 150 to 200 jobs by the end of 2015.
CHARLOTTE, NC—DeWalt will assemble more than 600 different cordless power tools, hand tools and accessories at its 75,000-square-foot factory here. The plan will create 250 new jobs.
