MEMPHIS, TN—Mitsubishi Electric Power Products Inc. has opened a new, $200 million assembly plant here. The facility currently employs 65 people and is expected to employ 275 at full production.

QUERETARO, Mexico—Mitsubishi Electric is planning to build a $33 million assembly plant here to make starters, alternators and other auto parts.

FRANKLIN, IN—Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is planning to start commercial production of automotive turbochargers at its assembly plant here in 2014. Mitsubishi will install three automated assembly lines to produce the turbochargers.
