Students and teachers had an opportunity to meet Honda employees and participate in hands-on activities such as building a model car on a simulated assembly line, virtual welding and a vehicle painting simulation.
The 2nd annual Manufacturing Day was held nationwide last Friday. Hundreds of manufacturers opened their doors to students to give them a glimpse into the world of 21st century production processes.

WASHINGTON—To highlight the importance of manufacturing to the nation’s economy and draw attention to the many rewarding high-skill jobs available in manufacturing fields, a group of public and private organizations announced today the launch of Manufacturing Day for Oct. 5, 2012.
