BATESVILLE, AR—Bad Boy Mowers is expanding its assembly operations here. The company will invest approximately $7.8 million in a 68,000 square-foot property across from its existing factory. The company plans to add approximately 160 new jobs in the future.

COLUMBUS, IN—Daiei Inc., a Japan-based manufacturer of industrial machinery components, plans to invest $3.35 million to lease, renovate and equip its first North American manufacturing operation here. Daiei will produce forklift pillars and other components for Toyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing, which is also based in Columbus.

GRAY, LA—Standard Crane and Hoist has opened a new plant here to build equipment for the oil and gas industry.

FORT WORTH, TX—GE has begun hiring and training the 275 employees for its new mining equipment and locomotive assembly plant here.

NEW PHILADELPHIA, OH—Tusco Display has opened a new assembly plant here to make water vending machines.

BISMARK, ND—Bobcat Co. plans to expand its assembly operation here and to eventually hire about 200 more workers.
