DETROIT—Police are investigating an attempted theft of new vehicles Oct. 5 from a lot near Fiat Chrysler’s Jefferson North Assembly Plant here. The news comes four days after thieves were able to steal four new vehicles from the same lot.
KANSAS CITY, MO—A suspect has been arrested for shooting and killing a worker outside Ford’s assembly plant here early on Aug. 11. Brandon G. Nunnally, 26, was shot in the parking lot outside the facility at around 4:07 am, after just having gotten off his shift.
ADELAIDE, Australia—Police have arrested seven autoworkers for allegedly stealing engines and transmissions worth some $2 million from Holden’s assembly plant here. Police say 140 V8 engines and 175 heavy duty transmissions are believed to have been stolen between January 2010 and this year.
