Engineers can learn how to launch and manage mixed-model assembly lines during a free, hour-long webinar March 2.
Moderated by John Sprovieri, editor of ASSEMBLY, the webinar will be presented by Dan McKiernan, president ofElite Engineering Inc., and Dave Sly, president and founder ofProplanner.Elite Engineering designs custom control hardware and software for factory automation systems. Proplanner provides software that helps engineers plan how materials flow throughout a factory and manage how products are manufactured.
During the webinar, engineers will learn how to:
* tightly synchronize activity between an enterprise resource planning system and the plant floor.
*Quickly and easily configure PLC-based assembly workstations using their customers’ parameters.
*Revise process tasks for individual workstations in the assembly process without recoding or bringing the system down.
* Conduct full-line error-proofing for production launch and operations.
The webinar will be broadcast live from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Eastern time. The presentation will run approximately 45 minutes. A live, 15-minute question-and-answer session will follow. Engineers who cannot attend the live broadcast will be able to view the on-demand.
