MACOMB, MI—Aerospace supplier Triumph Gear Systems has opened a new building here that nearly doubles its manufacturing floor space and will allow the company to hire an additional 40 workers over the next five years.

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC—The Federal Aviation Administration has approved a production certificate for Boeing’s assembly plant here to deliver 787-9 aircraft to customers. The FAA initially issued a production certificate in July 2012 for the 787-8.
