Ford Motor Co. began producing cars in Chicago 10 years before the current assembly plant opened a century ago.

The historic factory has made everything from Model T’s to SUVs since 1924.

STANTON, TN—Ford Motor’s Co.’s 21st century facility for electric vehicle production is starting to take shape just a few miles northeast of Memphis.

Both Ford facilities have undergone major transformations since they received the award, due to the evolving nature of the auto industry and changing consumer demand.
