DEARBORN, MI—Ford Motor Co. solidified its position as the No. 1 American automaker in terms of vehicles assembled, vehicles exported from America to other countries, and hourly workers employed.
Both Ford facilities have undergone major transformations since they received the award, due to the evolving nature of the auto industry and changing consumer demand.
Two recipients of the Assembly Plant of the Year award (Ford and Kenworth) are using state-of-the-art tools and technology to produce electric vehicles.
