SWAN ISLAND, OR—Union workers at Daimler’s truck assembly plant here have gone on strike after rejecting a $1.30 per hour pay raise. The union had been seeking a $1.95 increase.

COLUMBIA, SC—EcoDual Inc., a manufacturer of dual-fuel conversion systems for heavy-duty trucks, will $13 million assembly plant here. The facility is expected to generate 307 new jobs in the next five years.
