VICTOR, NY—New Scale Robotics has been named an authorized systems integrator (ASI) for FANUC America Corp., enabling the company to more effectively use its Q-Span automated gauging technology in conjunction with FANUC’s collaborative robots.

By automating tedious manual gauging tasks, New Scale’s Q-Span systems eliminate data entry errors and improve measurement consistency, repeatability and throughput. By deploying a FANUC cobot equipped with New Scale’s Q-Span system, manufacturers can improve throughput, process control and yield through:

  • Automated gauging, part handling and data logging.
  • Fast deployment of automation into existing process flows.
  • Rapid changeover for a large mix of parts.

The ASI designation enables New Scale to offer automated gauging technology to small and midsized manufacturers through FANUC cobots.

“FANUC is well-recognized as the world leader in automation, and this collaboration reflects the shared commitment of both companies to drive more automation in an underserved, but critical, part of the manufacturing process: quality control,” says Stefan Friedrich, marketing manager at New Scale Robotics. “By expanding our offering to include a FANUC solution, we can now reach and support a larger audience of manufacturers.”
