CLINTON, PA—Haemonetics has begun operations at its new assembly plant here to make medical disposables and consumables.
The company had previously operated a manufacturing plant in nearby Leetsdale, PA, from 1990 until now. Spanning approximately 200,000 square feet, the new facility has been equipped with machines brought over from the existing facility, as well as new advanced technology.
The Clinton facility includes several environmentally focused features, including smart controls on the HVAC systems, a recycled compressor heat system for more efficient temperature control, and a closed-loop process water system that allows for free process cooling during the winter months and reduced chemical treatment needs.
“Haemonetics has been part of the Pittsburgh area for more than 30 years, and our new, state-of-the-art Clinton facility highlights the value we place in this region and the skilled team we’ve developed here,” says Haemonetics President and CEO Christopher A. Simon.
