ORWIGSBURG, PA–Clearly Clean Products LLC recently announced that it is expanding its North American footprint by renovating and reopening an 80,000-square-foot thermoforming plant in Frackville, PA, to manufacture recyclable food trays. The plant, which brings Clearly Clean's total number of locations to seven, will produce the company's 100 percent recyclable, smooth-edged Roll Over-Wrap trays, vacuum-sealed packaging trays and recyclable modified atmosphere packaging trays.
All of the trays can be used for meat, poultry, seafood, produce and deli. They can also be customized in terms of size, shape and color.
Clearly Clean's trays use PET, the same material used in recyclable water bottles, thereby offering a recyclable, smooth-edged tray option to grocery stores, food processors and packaging distributors. Numerous citywide and countywide bans on polystyrene, combined with consumer pressure and corporate commitment, are fueling the demand for eco-friendly packaging and accelerating the sustainability timelines of many organizations.
Over the last year, Clearly Clean has added multiple big-name clients and grown 550 percent, with plans to grow at an even faster pace in 2019.
