BEAVERCREEK, OH—Northrop Grumman Corp. has opened a new addition to its assembly plant here and reaffirmed its intent to add manufacturing jobs at the site.
The facility has manufactured advanced aerospace and defense products for more than 30 years. The expansion will enable new work on strategic aerospace programs to come to the site, diversifying the facility’s portfolio and bringing new jobs to the area.
“Northrop Grumman has expanded our operations in Beavercreek and grown our aerospace workforce at this site by more than 50 percent since early 2017,” says Wendy Williams, vice president and general manager for aerospace structures at Northrop Grumman.
The Beavercreek facility was expanded by 35,000 square feet as a result of additional work and a recent award of a $90 million contract to supply high-temperature composites for the U.S. military. The 154,000-square-foot facility currently has more than 140 employees and produces advanced aerospace and defense composite structures.
