U.S. Factory Orders Rise for Second Month in Three
WASHINGTON-Orders placed at U.S. factories in April rose for the second time in three months, as demand for automobiles, electrical equipment and construction machinery increased. Bookings gained 0.7 percent, after a revised 1.9 percent drop in March, the Commerce Department said today. Excluding demand for transportation equipment such as cars and airplanes, orders rose 0.1 percent.MORE
