DAYTON, OH-Test, metal-working and material handling equipment company Assembly & Test Worldwide Inc. (ATW) has acquired the intellectual assets of longtime machine builder Bodine Technology (Bridgeport, CT).

Bodine has long been active in the automotive, medical and electronics industries. The Bodine assets acquired include the company’s baseline chassis and integrated assembly and test system engineering.

ATW plans to establish a technology center in Bridgeport to facilitate transition of the Bodine assets. Future manufacturing of the product line will take place at ATW’s Detroit Tool & Engineering division in Lebanon, MO. Detroit Tool & Engineering has been manufacturing high-speed technology machines for many years.
