GLENVIEW, IL-Illinois Tool Works Inc. has acquired high-performance electronics company Kester Inc. (Des Plaines, IL).

Kester's products are used to assembly printed circuit boards and microelectonic subassemblies. Customers include manufacturers of computers, communications devices, consumer products, medical equipment, and military products.

The company is estimating 2006 revenues of $175 million and has offices in North and South America, Europe and Asia. Currently, approximately 40 percent of the company's revenues come from Asia.
