LORH, Germany-Bosch Rexroth AG, parent company of Bosch Rexroth (Hoffman Estates, IL), is reporting it had an excellent year in 2005. Worldwide, the company enjoyed sales of approximately $5.7 billion, a 12.6 percent increase over the previous year. The company achieved this growth in all technology fields and in all regions.
"Since 2002, Bosch Rexroth sales have grown by more than $1.12 billion," says Bosch Rexroth Executive Board President, Manfred Grundke, noting that revenue growth rate was particularly strong in the United States where sales were up 23 percent compared with 2004.
In 2005, Bosch Rexroth built a number of new production facilities in Europe, Asia, and both North and South America to meet the increasing demand for the company's electric drives and controls, hydraulics, pneumatics and linear and motion technology. In addition, the company invested more than $240 million into research and development.
