NOVI, MIQuality Expo Detroit, to be held June 9 to 10 in Novi, MI, will feature Dale Earnhardt Inc.'s top engine development engineer, Charles Jenckes, presenting the keynote address. In the address, entitled "The Race for Quality Has No Finish LineQuality and Applications in a Nascar Nextel Cup Engine Shop," Jenckes will share his experience inside the Dale Earnhardt Inc. NASCAR Nextel Cup engine shopa zero defect business. He will discuss how the quality control systems at Dale Earnhardt Inc. are more rigorous than those in other manufacturing environments.
Attendees can also get a close-up look at Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Number 8 show car, an exact replica of the winning car at the 2004 Daytona 500. The car will be featured on the show floor for the duration of the show, and is sponsored by Optical Gaging Products.
