NORWALK, CT-Quality Expo Detroit will be held June 9 to 10. The expo will feature a 2-day conference program covering such topics as lean production, six sigma, statistical process control and heat treating.
Four free education sessions will also be offered. Dale Earnhardt Inc.'s top engine development engineer, Charles Jenkes, will present the keynote address, "The Race for Quality Has No Finish Line-Quality and Applications in a Nascar Nextel Cup Engine Shop." Panelists from the Automotive Industry Action Group, National Institute for Standards, Ford Motor Co. and DaimlerChrysler will discuss "Global Harmonization Efforts to Achieve Metrology Interoperability." Tom Williams, editor of Quality magazine, will moderate "Six Sigma in Automotive: Is It Enough?" Dirk Dusharme, technology editor at Quality Digest, will moderate "New Trends in Dimensional Metrology."
