In addition, Viko has also recently purchased from Markem a fully automated system for marking singulated components. This unit incorporates the Model 590 pad printhead for small components.

The U-1480 can be configured with various options, including automatic tray loading and unloading, component pick-and-place, ultraviolet curing, flame treatment, and automated inspection of print quality and part orientation.

Viko's newly expanded marking and tape-and-reel departments are using two fully automated versions of the U-1480 system that offer high throughput rates.
