NORWICH, NY—The Plastics Design Library has updated its online database on the chemical resistance of plastics.

The Chemical Resistance of Plastics and Elastomers Database contains test results from exposure of 1,080 plastic materials to more than 4,500 media under different conditions. The test results are presented in tabular format and evaluated. Each material is assigned a chemical resistance rating.

The database allows simultaneous searches of multiple books and databases. It contains 138,200 records and represents a compilation of data on how chemicals and other exposure environments affect the properties and characteristics of thermoplastics, thermoplastic elastomers, thermosets and rubbers.
